I graduated in 2008 from the 1100 hour clinical program at The Connecticut Center for Massage Therapy, a COMTA accredited school in Westport, CT. Because I have an affinity for, and enjoy working with seniors, I became a certified Compassionate Touch® Practitioner in 2012, and have worked in rehabilitation, assisted living and memory facilities.

I continue to take additional classes training every year to keep up with the latest techniques and research in my field. Recently, I have taken classes in cupping through the NYS Society of Medical Massage Therapists (1/17),  and Esalen Massage at the World Massage Festival (5/17); upcoming is Thai for the Table with Rick Haesche at my alma mater in June.

Based in Beacon, NY, I have clients locally as well as from Putnam, Orange and Westchester counties. Weekend visitors to the area, whether here for hiking, shopping or browsing art galleries have also discovered River Therapeutic Massage.

Each client is approached as an individual with compassion, and an understanding that they may be experiencing some difficulty, whether physical, emotional, spiritual or (often) a combination; my goal is to bring ease to the body, mind and spirit as I believe they are all connected.

Although I have been in health related fields for many years, my journey into Massage Therapy began later in life as I felt there was "more" to  health and healing than what traditional or Western medicine offered. I have been inspired by and aspire to the selflessness of my mother and grandmother before her; both heart-centered caregivers in their own way. I hope that my work can help to facilitate some healing and body-awareness to counteract the effects of our high-tech and fast paced society.
